What to Do with an Old Wreath

Over-the-Door Wreath Hanger
Here’s a great wreath-hanging tip we shared on our getting ready for the holidays podcast: Grab a self-adhesive wall hook—the 3M brand is perfect—and hang it upside down on the reverse side of your door. Loop the wreath’s hanging ribbon around the hook on the opposite side of the door, then pull it over the top for an over-the-door setup. The wreath should hang securely on the front.
The Best Way to Store Wreaths
When it’s time to de-Christmasize your home, take special care with your live wreath: Place it over the neck of a coat hanger and cover with a plastic bag from a dry cleaner. This will protect it from accumulating dust on the off-season. Store the hanging wreath in a roomy closet or in the basement or attic.
