This week Mighty Mommy is joined by author Laurie Gelman. Laurie was born and raised in the Great White North. She spent twenty-five years as a broadcaster in both Canada and the United States before trying her hand at writing novels. Class Mom is her first book and boy is it great: Funny, poignant, and endearing.
As moms, we wear a zillion different hats, many that we didn’t have a clue would be part of motherhood until we were in the trenches and finding out for ourselves.
Listen to the conversation between Mighty Mommy and Laurie and be prepared to chuckle as you, too, will probably relate to these scenarios in your own parenting life. Laurie totally understands this and shares 9 things that just don’t work for her as a mom today.
1. When the kids volunteer you to drive everyone somewhere
2. When their homework becomes my homework
3. Losing control of the car radio
4. Being a short order cook
5. Being a sherpa and human garbage pail
6. Being blamed for everything
7. Being a professional getter
8. Expected to be crafty
9. Expected to be a human encyclopedia
